March 15, 2011 (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) – The MAFIA empire is gearing up for Ottawa Fashion Week, and more developments are afoot for the brand. MAFIA founders Victoria and Olivia van Eyk have been asked to provide the jewellery for two exclusive fashion lines, Nu-i Fashion, and Kayla Morgan.

MAFIA brand accessories will be seen on the runway at this year’s Ottawa Fashion Week, taking place March 18-20. Sisters Victoria and Olivia were recently interviewed on the Ottawa Fashion Week blog, and MAFIA pieces will also be available for purchase at the show.
MAFIA will debut at Ottawa’s National Gallery of Canada, located at 380 Sussex Drive. Various designers will be presenting showcases from their collections, and MAFIA is pleased to be part of the show.

With MAFIA’s presence in Ottawa, the unique partnership showcasing the designs of MAFIA's Thai branch brings one-of-a-kind, high fashion pieces to the western hemisphere.

Ottawa is home to MAFIA, a line that brings this unique jewelry style to the west and into the hands of fashion-forward people who love the brand and look forward to further engagement.

CFO Olivia van Eyk says, “The MAFIA Empire is for everyone, and we’re excited to see celebrities rocking the same kinds of styles MAFIA is selling. The MAFIA brand, and the unique designs that come to us from Thailand, are 100% unique. We have plenty of other distributors trying to work with our creative partner, but MAFIA is the only fully-authorized retailer of this unique jewellery. We’re proud to be able to bring these incredible designs to everyone – there’s something for everyone.”

Between the Fashion Week events, inclusion in the celebrity gift bags at this year’s Juno awards, and an exclusive trunk show with friend lines ‘Karen & Wynne’, ‘Stella & Dot’ and event-planning company Wedding Junction is soon to follow. The trunk show will also include an opportunity to donate directly to the Hopewell Charity, supporting Canadians affected by eating disorders.

MAFIA Empire team members are proud to bring these unique pieces all the way from Bangkok to a Canadian national stage, and look forward to a fashion week jam-packed with new inspirations, connections – and most of all, new customers who are excited about the line’s potential and sharing a part in the ever-growing MAFIA Empire. Victoria and Olivia will be on hand throughout the weekend at Ottawa Fashion Week, and are available for interviews, consultations, and to answer any questions about their business in Ottawa, the MAFIA empire, and any type of international distribution.
