Marriage has always been an institution that states in the vows “for better or for worse”. When marriage is new and the honeymoon is just over, it can be easy to say “I love you no matter what” and feel the same wonderful feeling as the day you married.
As the years roll by, sometimes a significant level of comfort occurs where you get used to being and doing the same way on a regular basis. It can be simple things like switching over to plainer bed clothing versus the sexy things you used to wear or defaulting to the missionary position for sex because it’s convenient. Whatever the case may be, sometimes your love live can become stagnant because you tend to take each other for granted.
Although marriage is a vow to spend the rest of your life with the one you love, it doesn’t mean that the time spent has to be routing or boring. With the introduction of children into a family, it is easy to get caught up into all the other responsibilities that go along with raising children that the tendency becomes to be too tired or just to lose interest in keeping the spark alive in your bedroom.
Fortunately, there are many marital aids that can help to promote a good marriage both inside and outside of the bedroom. Although where the greatest spark may be necessary is the bedroom, it isn’t the only room in the house that marital aids can be used.
The first consideration is your level of energy and how many things you may already have on your plate. If you are very busy, finding a marital aid that is relatively easy to use and promotes togetherness as well as pleasurable relaxation is one of the best types of aids you can use.
It may be something as simple as writing your spouse a love letter and putting it in their briefcase for them to find later and having the letter invite them to something special at home such as a full body massage or a bubble bath followed by a sensual rub down. Other aids may take a bit more of an investment, such as planning a weekend getaway at a bed and breakfast inn or cooking a romantic dinner for two but they yield excellent returns on the time and effort put forth when your marriage continues to flourish and withstand whatever challenges and obstacles that may present themselves down the line.
One of the greatest marital aids you can use with your spouse is communication. Try to keep the lines of communication open and flowing back and forth. Avoid going to bed angry at your spouse because tomorrow is not promised. Take time to enjoy the little things like holding hands, kissing and cuddling; which are no-cost marital aids you can use just about any time and anywhere.
