Creatine is a substance naturally formed in our bodies; it is an amino acid based compound that stores energy from the already existing amino acids and foods in the body.

Creatine is produced in the liver, kidneys and pancreas through a synthesis of arginine, methionine and glycine it is stored in body as a compound called phosphocreatine which works as a reservoir of phosphate. The substance stores energy in the muscular tissue which in return provides energy for the muscular contractions. The adenosine tri phosphate molecules that are generated by creatine is the main fuel for the enzyme motors of the muscle as it initializes high intensity muscle activity.

The adenosine tri phosphate (ATP) loses a phosphate molecule to create energy that will be converted to adenosine di phosphate (ADP) for more energy to be produced ADP must be converted back to ATP. When ATP is depleted, creatine will act as a source of phosphate to do the conversion. The more creatine available the faster the body can produce ATP molecules thus more and more energy available for muscle contraction. The increased amount of creatine in the body will slow down fatigue. It helps in protein synthesis which promotes muscle growth and development.

Creatine is generally found in red meat and sometimes in certain fish types. It is destroyed when cooked therefore it is recommended to be taken in powder form. Creatine is stored inside a muscle cell; here it attracts the water surrounding the cell hence enlarging it. This super hydrated cell increases strength and gives the muscle a fuller appearance. It also triggers protein synthesis and minimizes catabolism. It provides faster recovery between the sets and increases tolerance to high volume work. The production of lactic acid causes sensation at the end, when it is produced in excess, the muscle contraction stops. Taking creatine will boost your ATP limit by 10 seconds through provision of the missing molecule and upgrading your ability to generate more ATP to exercise for longer. More volume, strength and recovery mean more muscle.

Creatine is known to allow better pumps during workload, this is because it improves glycogen synthesis and lowers cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Because we can not get enough through diet alone we can take it as a supplement putting in mind that you have to put in all the hard work and what creatine will do for you is it will help your muscle retain water thus muscle building will be easier.

Creatine is just but a way of helping the muscles build themselves stronger and better when you put in the work. Creatine ethyl ester has compounds that when consumed will be sent to the muscles rather than secreted through the urine, and if you want to increase the speed of your creatine intake, then you will be forced to take it post workout and use simple sugars for them to be stored in the energy reserves. It is however up to you to decide what you will consume, do a thorough research and make a smart decision for the good of your body.
