If I told you that colors can affect your mood would you believe me? Well it’s true! Color plays a very significant role in your how mood and your well being. In fact, color can impact you so profoundly the color of your room can actually improve your health and how you are feeling physically.

When it comes to decorating your home, or other space that you spend a lot of time – you should take some careful consideration of what color palette you use to decorate with. All too often, people randomly choose colors to paint their walls, without realizing the impact that it will have on their well being and their wood.

For example, if you’re redecorating your bedroom you may think that red is a beautiful color that will look stunning on your walls. But you may want to think twice about red as a wall color in a room where you are supposed to be relaxing. Red has been shown to raise blood pressure, increase the fight – or – flight response in humans, and can even cause angry feelings. Not exactly the feelings that you are trying to achieve in the bedroom. But red also symbolizes romance, so maybe throwing in a few red accent pillows instead of red walls might be a good idea.

When you are considering what color to paint your home with, it’s usually a good idea to consider what you are trying to achieve in different areas of your home. While it’s true that some colors have been scientifically proven to stimulate certain emotions, each color will mean something different to every individual. Take the time to consider what colors make you feel happy, which shades help you relax and which colors excite you.

Choosing a color palette based on how the colors make you feel instead of what you think looks nice, will have a significant impact on your daily life and make your home a more welcome and enjoyable place to be. At Simple Appeal we know that colors make a big difference in your home and we care about how you feel.
