Contract furniture such as stacking chairs and stacking tables are a very useful item in the hospitality industry. There are many other industry settings that have many uses for stacking tables and chairs and these include schools, hospitals and many large corporations. The easy storage and portability of stacking tables makes them a versatile furnishing article that can lend itself to many different settings.

When businesses are looking for furniture to be used they have many needs that they want addressed. The individual pieces of furniture should be well made and constructed in a way that can hold up under constant and frequent use. The general public can often treat furniture in a rough manner with much pushing and shoving. Any furniture pieces should be able to absorb this type of handling and retain its look and construction. The materials compose the furniture need to be the type that offers durability and ruggedness, such as tubular steel, aluminum and heavy woods as well as polycarbonates and plastic.
Furniture pieces should also be made in styles that go well with other items and should be able to be coordinated with ease. The colors of furnishings should be in neutrals, basic black and white and be in some other shades that will allow the buyer to use them in different settings and color schemes. The pieces should also be easily cleaned and stain resistant.

Stacking tables are purchased by many business owners due to their ability to offer convenient use whenever needed. If these tables are not being used they are able to be stored by being placed in vertical stacks against walls. Having the ability to stack these tables in a vertical position allows for one room to hold a large number of tables in a very safe and convenient manner. Whenever the tables are called for an employee has only to go and remove the number of tables that will be needed. Vertical stacking allows for the tables to not only be stored in a relatively small space, they can be transported easily using the same stacking method.

These tables are not the only item that is stored by stacking. Many of the chairs that are designed for institutional and business use are selectively designed to be stacked as well.
With the chairs the structure of the legs and the back are integral parts necessary for the stacking design to work well. Stacking tables and chairs are very useful in a large setting because the stacking method allows employees and cleaning crews an easy way to move furniture and set it aside in order to clean, strip and polish the floors. Before stacking tables and chairs arrived the furniture would be moved or placed in haphazard methods which led to many accidents.

For businesses safety is a big issue and it is very useful to note just how safe the issue of stacking furniture is. It offers a much better and safer way of handling and moving furniture even if the moving is only temporary. With stacking furniture you are able to effectively and safely move 2 or more pieces of furniture at a time. If you have the available staff or dolly you can move many pieces at once and there is no wobbling or loose item to worry about. You are able to stack chairs and tables in stacks of 6 or more with ease. Occasionally some employees may get too enthusiastic and stack the furniture in piles that are dangerous and unsafe. Usually a vertical stack is 2-12 items deep. This will depend on the size of table or chair that is being placed in stacks. With all furniture you are given the stacking limit and you should be aware of this limit when you make the purchase. Even if your vertically stacked tables or chairs seem secure you could damage the furniture due to the weight and stress being placed on the bottom items.
